Phantogram @ The Pageant
12.15.19 @ The Pageant made for show #498 of my career and it was good experience to have. Phantogram came out with so much energy and the lighting was amazing from a spectator standpoint, but from a photographers standpoint it was a challenge. The reason I say this was such as good experience is because after covering so many shows it drove home the one piece of advice I can offer beginning music photographers..."when you have lemons made lemonade". I would have liked to walk away with a better selection of images but the ones I did capture were accomplished by being creative. Working with light when it was available on stage and trying to time out strobes so the shutter went off at the right moment. It's good to get that kind of shoots every once it awhile, it keeps you sharp! Also this band is amazing live, Matt Maeson opened as well and played a great set as the opener.
