I have seen Pete Yorn many times live, in fact I had my first "legal" beer with Pete after his show at the Blue Note in Columbia, MO on April 10, 2002. Ever since then his music has served as the soundtrack of my life on a variety of different occasions, both good times and bad. Being able to photograph him on the opening night of the Midwest leg of his "You & Me" tour meant more to me than most shows. Not to mention this evening provided the opportunity for Pete to tell many stories about his career. Also after having seen him on 5 separate occasions, on 2 different album tours I was delighted by the surprise of hearing many cuts that I hadn't heard Pete perform live. Opening up with the tremendous cut "Vampyre" set the tone perfectly for the evening, and it was followed by other gems like his rendition of "Never My Love" from the "Westerns" EP.
I hope you were there because this show will forever be a memory I share with people, truly a special intimate look into Pete's amazing talent as a song writer.
