The Psychedelic Furs @ The Pageant
8.10.2018 @ The Pageant - The Psychedelic Furs came through town and played to a crowd full of fans who have been waiting a long time to see them live. The band originally formed in England in 1977, releasing their first record in 1980. They took a long hiatus in the '90's but have been touring regularly since reforming in 2001.
If you are not familiar with this bands catalog, check them out. Their affect on New Wave and Punk genres, in my opinion, affected a great deal of alternative and emo acts that surfaced in the early 90's (For those born in the 90's when I say emo I mean bands like Hum, Sunny Day Realestate, and Mineral...not shit box Pop Punk like AFI). For the 80's I feel this act is one that was revolutionary for their time, and some of the music we have today wouldn't be around if it wasn't for act like them.
