Pearl Jam @ Wrigley Field - Night 1
8.18.2018 @ Wrigley Field - On Saturday night Pearl Jam played Night 1 of their two night sold out stay at Wrigley Field. I was there covering the show for Speakers in Code, and was just on cloud-nine! To start the night off PJ opened with a classic like "Wash", moving into a crowd favorite with "Low Light", and from there doing a crowd sing along like "Elderly Woman..." was a great build. Those in the crowd that are connoisseurs of the PJ live experience would probably agree that the setlist was awesome with some lovely surprises.
After "Elderly Woman...", they continued to increase the energy of the setlist with "Breakerfall", "Corduroy", "Hail, Hail, "Animal", and "Getaway". Really until 16 songs into the set when they played "Wishlist" was the first time the setlist took a more chill tempo for a few songs. Anyone who was there to witness the amazing covers of "I Won't Back Down", "Rebel, Rebel", and "Missing" also saw something unique as well.
All around it was an amazing night, and those there for Night 2 are in for an unbelievable experience in rock music.
