Manchester Orchestra @ The Pageant
8.7.2018 @ The Pageant - Let me first say Manchester Orchestra is one of my favorite acts, and the world got a blessing when they released their debut in 2006. Five records into their career and they never disappoint, and that goes double for their live show!
Taking the stage opening with two numbers off their latest release set the tone nicely for the night, as they ripped into crowd favorites like "Shake It Off" and then into "Pride". From there the setlist just kept getting better and better, proving that their material is transcendent no matter the time period their career. I took a buddy of mine who had heard them for the first time about 8 hours before attending the show. His exact words were, "I didn't hear a song I disliked and tomorrow I'm getting their entire catalog". That pretty much sums this band up in a nutshell.
